
Rimma Ishimbaeva
Dr. Rimma Ishimbaeva, DVM, PhD in Veterinary Sciences, brings over 25 years of leadership in the veterinary and animal health sectors across the EU and internationally. She serves as Senior Vice-President of the Association of Veterinary Consultants (AVC), after successfully completing her term as President in October 2025. Under her leadership, AVC continues to strengthen its role as a global professional network of more than 60 members from 21 countries, providing independent scientific and regulatory expertise to governments, animal feed, and pharmaceutical industries. In this capacity, she coordinates multiple stakeholder projects, discussion groups, and meetings with HMA, EMA, EFSA, and DG-SANTE.
Dr. Ishimbaeva combines international industry experience in regulatory affairs and business development with over a decade of consulting, supporting veterinary, feed, and nonprofit organisations across the EMEA region. Since 2023, she has served as an alternate member of the EFSA Stakeholder Bureau and the EFSA Stakeholder Discussion Group on Emerging Risks (StaDG-ER), where she helps drive cross-sectoral coordination and foresight on issues impacting animal health and food safety in Europe. A speaker at international conferences and expert meetings, she shares insights on regulatory frameworks, stakeholder engagement, and emerging risks in animal health and public health.
