Dr Fabrice Laurent is research Director at the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE). He has 30 years of experience in the field of animal infectious disease, mainly parasitic diseases of poultry and ruminants were his researches focussed on mucosal immunity and more recently on control methods based on the development of new antimicrobials to decrease the burden of these diseases. Since 2018, he works as a deputy of animal Health Division of INRAE and lead the national infrastructure for the control of animal and zoonotic emerging infectious diseases through in vivo investigation 'EMERG'IN' on the French roadmap. EMERG'IN offers BLSL2 and BSL3 facilities from several French research institutes (INRAE, CIRAD, CNRS) and agency (ANSES) for all size of animals and disease vectors for basic and applied research on animal and zoonotic infectious diseases.
