Start-Up Success: Innogando
Animal AgTech Amsterdam is where breakthrough innovators unite with global leaders from across the European animal protein supply chain -including investors and corporates- to forge partnerships, bridge supply gaps and reinvent the future of livestock farming.
Innogando joined the summit as a Featured Start-Up in 2024. The Spanish-based start-up is revolutionizing livestock management with advanced technology that offers real-time monitoring of animal health, behaviour, and location - providing actionable insights to farmers, cooperatives, and industries. Their flagship product, Rumi, detects heat cycles, tracks calving, and identifies early signs of illness, boosting farm productivity, animal welfare, and sustainability.
We caught up with Pablo Lopez, Chief Operating Officer at Innogando to see what they have been up to since last years' summit, as well as their key piece of advice to any Start-Up.
What problem in animal agriculture are you solving — and how does your solution add value across the livestock value chain?
"We help livestock producers monitor their herds remotely through real-time data on fertility, health, location, and behavior. Rumi, our smart collar, improves animal welfare, reduces losses, and boosts productivity — while enabling traceability and sustainability across the value chain."
What were your objectives heading into the Animal AgTech Amsterdam in 2024?
"Our main goals were to connect with potential strategic partners, explore European market expansion, and gather feedback from industry experts on scaling precision livestock solutions."
How has your start-up developed since participating in the Summit? Have you secured any partnerships, investments, or collaborations?
"Since the Summit, we’ve doubled our team, expanded in Spain and Portugal, and closed key partnerships with veterinary networks and dairy cooperatives. We also raised a round to support our growth and internationalization efforts."
How are you navigating today’s investment landscape and economic pressures?
"We’re focusing on capital efficiency, strong customer retention, and building scalable infrastructure. Our value proposition — improving farm productivity and sustainability — remains resilient and relevant in today’s agtech market."
What advice would you give to other agtech start-ups looking to grow or raise capital in today’s climate?
"Build a solution that solves a real problem, demonstrate measurable impact, and stay close to your users."
